STATE BUDGET EXECUTION AND FINANCIAL INDICATORS

The budget execution data reveals to the public the information about the collection of the State budget revenue by types of taxes and other revenue and the use of funds in the implementation of the planned programmes. The financial data reveals the information about the financial position of the country, changes in items of financial statements which have affected it and performance.
The budget execution data is presented on cash basis, i.e. considering the date of receipt and payment of funds, and the data of financial statements – on accrual basis, i.e. by all the transactions performed during the year despite the date when the transfer was made.

Budget revenue

The State budget revenue consists of the taxes paid by taxpayers, income from state-owned assets, the European Union and other international financial support and other budget revenue which is reallocated through the State budget and designated to perform the functions of government under the planned programmes. The major share of the State budget revenue consists of the revenue from taxes on goods and services. A significant share of budget revenue consists of the European Union and other international financial support.

Budget expenditure

The State budget funds are used to finance the functions of the government, to provide grants to municipal budgets, to fulfil the obligations of the government. The funds are planned in the estimates of entities receiving allocations from the State budget. The expenditure is classified by source of financing, function of government, economic classification indicating the purpose of expenditure and programmes implemented by entities receiving allocations from the State budget.
